A LinkedIn feed widget working harder than the post did.

A LinkedIn post reaches the people who already follow you. The same post on your careers page, in a social media widget that keeps itself current, reaches the candidate reading it at eleven at night and deciding whether to apply.

LinkedIn is the strictest platform here — organisation content requires their partner approval, which is a slower door than Meta's. We are in the queue and not going to pretend otherwise.

What it looks like

LinkedIn's content is paragraphs, not pictures. An editorial layout gives a post the room it was written for, rather than cropping it into a square.

Three years ago we made a rule that every project starts on site, with a camera, before anyone opens a design tool. It has never once been the wrong call — here is what it changes.

Welcome to Priya, who joins us as a designer this month from a very good agency we will not name because we poached her. Our fourth hire this year.

Organisation pages only

LinkedIn guards personal profile data more tightly than any other network in this list, and it is worth understanding the shape of that before you plan a page around it.

What you get

  • Posts from a company page you administer
  • Article shares with their preview image and headline
  • Reaction and comment counts
  • Multiple company pages, if you run more than one brand

What it won’t do

  • Personal profile feeds, including your CEO's — there is no route to it
  • Individual employees' posts, which is what most 'employee advocacy' pitches quietly need
  • Anything before partner approval, which LinkedIn grants on its own timetable
  • Connection or follower lists of any kind

How to add a LinkedIn feed

  1. 01

    Check your admin role

You need a page admin role on the LinkedIn company page. A super admin can grant it under the page's admin tools.

  2. 02

    Authorise the organisation

Connect through LinkedIn and pick the company page. Personal profiles will not appear as options, by design.

  3. 03

Choose a layout that suits long text

LinkedIn posts run long. A list or testimonial layout keeps them readable; a photo grid truncates them to nothing.

  4. 04

Put it where it does work

A careers page, an about page, or beside a contact form on a B2B site. Rarely the homepage hero.

Where a LinkedIn feed actually earns its place

This is the widget people install on a homepage and quietly remove three months later. It is also genuinely excellent in two or three specific places, which is worth being precise about.

  • A careers page, where recent company activity answers 'is this place alive and growing?' better than any copy you could write
  • A B2B about page, where a prospect is checking whether you are real before they book a call
  • An investor or partner page, where cadence of announcements is itself the signal
  • Less good on a consumer homepage, where nobody arrived hoping to read a company update

LinkedIn questions, answered

No. LinkedIn does not expose personal profile posts to third-party tools at all. Only organisation pages you administer are available, and that restriction is firm rather than a matter of tier or price.
